months ago we participated in the Assembly of AGD in which the Board of Elections voted (JE) for the recent elections. In our interventions as well as in the statement he signed along with other lists of other academic units, we note that although the Statute of AGD was not explicit about it, the mechanics of electing members of the EB-imposed by most of Orange-List was against all democratic spirit and did not recognize minorities, leaving the full composition of the JE for the majority.
Thus it was unnecessarily confrontational situation, given that JE now assumed the right to decide the composition of the new Executive Board, making a clearly biased interpretation of the Statute. Thus for a score of 68% for the Trade Union Unity, and 32% for the Front for Democracy and active participation of teachers, JE aims of the 7 positions of the Executive Board, 6 are in the hands of the majority (86% ), ie the list of elected members of the JE. Article 59 of the Statute clearly specifies that the allocation should be proportionate and should then be 5 of 7 positions (71%) for the majority.
